New Report: Data Center Construction Growth Picks Up
Whether you have seen it in person or just recall from movies, we can all picture the massive computer rooms of the 1980’s and early 90’s…but what you may not know is just how far data centers have come, and how much they are expected to grow in the coming years.
According to a recent report conducted by analysts at TechNavio, the data center construction market in the US is forecasted to grow at a compound annual rate of 7.61% between 2012 and 2016. This is largely due to the expansion of data center facilities, especially high-density data centers, which use increased power density in their facilities to allow for additional computing power per square foot. As businesses place more demands on IT resources, data centers are growing to keep pace.
